Large supports such as these will normally be used for heavy panel installations and signage. Panel thickness limit is 25mm with 13mm diameter holes required to accept the screws.
The threaded screw caps on all of the fittings have a small hole in them. This is so that an allen key can be used to tighten them which makes the cap difficult to turn by hand and therefore more secure.
